The Springfield Woman’s Club is one of the oldest Woman’s Clubs in Florida. Originally founded in 1904 by the women of Springfield who wanted to improve the amenities in the neighborhod, the Club today still adheres to the vision of these women.
Our projects have included the installation of bleachers with a canopy in the ball field in Klutho Park, the restoration of the beautiful fountain that was originally created to honor the memory of Mary Dillon, the first President of the Club, and the recreation of the Rose Garden in Confederate Park.
Our meetings are held every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. Our meetings focus around topics that are of interest to our members and the community.
If you are looking for a suitable place to hold your wedding reception or other celebration, look no further! The Springfield Woman’s Club is the perfect place for a gathering of up to 125 people. Just a short distance from downtown, North Main Street, and Interstate 95, it is easy to reach from any part of Jacksonville or the surrounding areas. The fountain and gardens make a beautiful background for perfect wedding photographs.
